Mike Tomlin has been photographed wearing a Chronomat, and I believe he was sporting a Bentley in last Sunday's postgame news conference. I was watching the postgame Kurt Warner interview on SportsCenter last Monday, and noticed that Kurt Warner was wearing a White dial Super Avenger, I believe on a leather strap. So it appears we are well represented in this year's version of The Big Game

It's wise of Warner to wear a SA off the field. That way he gets some extra excersise preparing for the game - like walking around with additional weights.  I haven't yet decided where my cheers will be - with that amount of time since Warner's Superbowl win I think it would be great to come back and finish off with a second one, but at the same time I really like Roethlisberger's game. |

In actual fact I'm way more of a fan of rugby than I am of football (English football that is!). Rather less overpaid primadonnas involved in rugby! Rugby is played by guys of a different mentality to football. I remember seeing an interview with Will Carling (England Rugby captain from the late 80's to '96), and he summed it up quite nicely for me. He said that if you foul someone in football they'll roll around like they've been shot in an attempt to either get you sent off, or at the very least get a free kick. But if you foul someone in rugby they'll do everything they can to show you that it didn't hurt, even if they're in agony! (Obviously this was rather a sweeping statement, but the sentiment is very true). |

Ive gotta say I could really care less who wins this year. Im sure the NFL isnt too happy with the matchup either... As far as football/rugby goes... I think its an apples vs. oranges thing. Sure, rugby is padless, but NFL players are giants, and the pads give them the ability (confidence?) to throw caution to the wind. I dont care what pads anybody is wearing...just imagine a 6'5" 285 lb. man running at you full speed (and btw, their full speed is MUCH higher than our full speed) and nailing you directly...  The average person would be lucky if they could ever walk again after some of the hits they take.

I think if your a fan of sports in general you can appreciate what effort and talent it takes to compete at any professional level no matter the sport. I've always thought that you English chaps take to old it's called football not soccer thing a little too serious anyways. Oh.....By the way I am pulling for the home town favorite in my case, the Cardinals!!!! |
