should be a comfortable fit- it won't be small but you'll soon get use to its proportions and weight and it will feel extremely comfortable on the wrist- so much so that you will feel a body part is missing when you take it off!!!

I realize it is not a new bit of info, but try it on a few times and see. Take someone else with you to see how it looks. I can say that I have just under 8" wrists and it looks perfect on mine. :lingsrock:

I have a 6 1/2" wrist and find the SA to be very comfortable despite its massive size.

I have a 6.75" wrist and thought it was massive on me. I only had it on for like 30 seconds, so maybe more time would have helped.

My wrist is 6 1/2 inches and I used to think it might be a bit big on me, but Ive changed my mind. My AD has one on order that can be mine if I want it, and I think I might go for it...

Ive worked my way up through 44 and 45mm watches and Im used to the size now. Time to go a bit further. :)

I wear a suit every day at work (Im in court most days) and Ive become used to the watch sitting outside my shirt cuff, so that doesnt bother me any more.

I think you will look fine, but there is really only one way to find out for sure - go see your AD and try one on! When you have it on your wrist, let it stay there for at least 10 minutes, preferably more, to first get used to the size. Then, you'll know if it fits you or not. The reason you should wait a while before making any decisions is just because it might look way too big the first glances, but then you'll adapt to the size.

As others have suggested the ony thing to do is try it on. But make sure you try it for long enough. Take your time with it on your wrist as it will take a few minutes for you to adjust to it. When I first tried an SA a number of years ago I HATED it! At the time a Seamaster Pro seemed pretty large to me, so the SA was a massive jump in my eyes. But then a couple of years later I tried on again, and I was amazed to think it was the same watch as my opinion had totally changed. Admitedly it's not for everyone, but all I can say is give it 5 minutes on your wrist and you'll soon know if it's for you or not.

I have a SA and a 7" wrist. The watch fits comfortably. Of course it looks huge, but the more you look at it, it looks normal, but it will still be huge to everyone else, and isn't that the point.

I have a 7.5" wrist. The first time I tried on a 46mm watch (not a Breitling but a Swiss Legend), I thought "Holy #%@! This thing is waaay too huge!". But then, I looked at myself in the mirror and it actually looked perfectly fine. It was quite amazing. Look at my wrist directly: too big. Look in the mirror: totally natural. Everyone else confirmed the same thing. My theory is that when you look at your own watch, you just see it in proportion to your wrist (and what you are used to seeing on it), but when somebody else looks at your watch, they see it in proportion to you.

Lesson: even though it looks too big to you when you look at your wrist, to others it may seem the perfect size. Bring somebody else with you to the AD, and make sure to look at yourself in the mirror when you try on any watch.

In short,

If you've got chunky forearms, big watches are fine. :lingsrock:

If you're like, 60kgs when p*ssed wet thru - Forget it!!
