Do you think BreitlingSource is big enough now to warrant some sort of Regional forums so that members from the same countries/areas can connect better? US/UK/CA/EU forums? I want to add the Breitling UK Owners Club forum, but I think it would be beneficial to create a regional and club forum section as well and include them in there. Any ideas guys?

only drawback on other sites to regional forum is it segregates people the great thing about this site is we benefit from global knowledge without having to check loads of different sections

I dislike the idea for this reason. One of the things I love about this forum is that the distance that separates us is nulified. The "friends" I have met here are unique is two ways. First that we are spread all over the earth and second our distinct love of Breitlings and other luxury watches. I fell that by separating the forum, those of us in the USA may loose contact and discourse with those in the UK and such....

Of course I said the same thing when you separated the Panerai topic to its own forum and so now we see some of the "other brands" posters less often.

Scott

I would not suggest doing this.

Preferably just add a GTG forum (if there isnt)

Dislike the idea because of segregation.

For possibly the first (and last) time in history - I agree with Mario

The site isn't big enough yet for further splitting of users in my opinion. When it is, I also agree with the general sentiment so far that regionalisation may split the community more than intended. When we reach the point that further segregation is needed I think that there are better ways to do it - maybe by model range.

I know that the 'UK club' thread rapidly got taken over by non Brits wanting to take it global, but not sure that's a bad thing - if the AD currently involved can't do it then it may spawn other clubs - I'll happily leverage my contacts for Canada.

Some of my closest 'friends' on here are non North American, and I want to keep this connection.

Alright, I won't do it yet then.

But its not about splitting the community.. its about when someone comes here to ask something that is specific to an area like "What's it like dealing with La Swiss in Pacific Centre?".. then a region specific forum would be more useful for stuff like that. Its just being organized, as sometimes when I look in the breitling discussion forum I see stuff that could be organized a bit better but as some of you mentioned.. not quite big enough for that yet.

I think you guys are misunderstanding my intentions.. I'm not making a section called "UK Discussion" and having only UK people post there and no where else. This is for Region specific questions that people in another region are very unlikely to have a clue about kind of thing.

I'd never wanna separate you guys!

I agree with the thought of several of the previous posts. I enjoy reading, discussing and seeing all things Breitling (and some not) from all over the world.

The diversity of who/when/where/why on this forum is what makes it great and so informative.

I say keep it the way it is!!!
