I was walking past my winder the other day with that feeling of contentment that comes from being near the one you love.Witk a heartfelt sigh I lovingly gazed toward my precious and my heart froze. It showed a time of 8:45 am and the Luminox on my wrist said 9:15 am.While the Luminox doesn't have the breeding of my Cockpit ,I had no reason to doubt it.Closer inspection showed that the crown on the cockpit had come out and the watch was hacking. With an adjustment to the time and screwing the crown in all was well again. Is this a normal thing for a watch on a winder? Can a crown work its way undone or do I potentially have a problem. Before I bother the AD I want to be sure I am not wasting their time and making a fool of myself. |

I can only think that the crown wasn't screwed in properly - I would keep an eye on it for now , but take it to the AD if there are any signs of problems again. |

Same thing happened on my Steelfish last week. I took it off to give it a "bath" and, luckily, before I submerged it I noticed that the crown was not only unscrewed, but had come quite far out. I tightened it , and since then no problem. I simply didn't screw it back in properly when I set the watch. Like Roffensian says, keep an eye on it, probably no problem. Cheers, Carl |
