hi everyone,
i would like to know how you guys clean your breits from the metal strap to the crystal,
because i started noticing these smuggy blops on the crystal under certain lighting and its really annoying and i tried water but it doesnt work...
is the clothe you clean eye-glasses good?

Some water and mild soap should be enough to clean it. If that does not help it won't be just some dirt I'm afraid.

i use a lens cleaner bought from an optometrist.
Works like a charm...

Well, knowing this is going to out my OCD tendencies here goes!
I wash my watch every night after wearing! I use a soft lint free cloth soak it under a stream of tepid running water then apply a small amount of pure hand soap to the cloth, then I start with the caseback and back of the bracelet then move to the front of the bracelet, case sides and then crystal. I then rinse the watch off under the flowing tepid water then use an artificial terry cloth to soak up the residual water, then I wipe with a microfiber cloth and buff the crystal and rest of the watch to a shine! Once a week I go over the metal with a sunshine polishing cloth and that keeps the watch looking like new!
My excuse? well the watch was a gift from a grateful client and so I am very proud of what it means to me!

Soft cloth for eye glasses for the easy stuff.
For the stubborn dirt (especially between the links) I use a very soft bristled tooth brush....
rub gently ...with warm water and mild soap

ok so lint free cloth or lens cloth are a good source of cleaning and no-damaging i see!
i would love "ianmedium" to clean my watch everyday since he seems to have the plan to keep the bling in the ling!
but just for curiosity what is a sunshine polishing cloth?

Sunshine (and Cape Cod) are brand names of cloths impregnated with metal polish. Not suitable for every day cleaning but restore the shine and remove the tiny scratches from normal wear.

A quick google or eBay search will show you more than you ould ever need.

The sunshine is a great cloth but it does not remove scratches as effectively as cape cod, having said that a gentle buff once a week takes the swirlies out and keeps the high gloss shine. I was in my AD the other day and they said my watch looked like new and said I must not wear it much, I told them that it is the only watch I wear now, everyday, I guess I am just careful not to scratch it, my cross to bear in being OCD I guess! Must admit though I do not mind being that way
You should see my clients TT Cockpit that he got at the same time, you would think it were 20 years old, he does not mind the scratches! It would drive me insane!

No, you're not the only one.

I have a soft brissel toothbrush and when I go to cleaning I usually polish first with the Cape Cods (because they leave black residue) or teh green Scotch Brite pad (for the brushed finishes) and then wash with room temp water, my tooth brush and hand soap. I scub the tar out of it, expecially in the grooves of the Diver Pro strap. I then dry it with a hand towel and leave it to air dry for the rest. After its completely dry I wipe down the whole thing with a old undershirt inclusind the crystal (sometimes I have to wet the crystal again to get the purple water stains off). Tah Dah! good to go!
