....for my wife! Took a trip to the AD today and even though it wasnt completely planned, I bought a Colt Ocean II (black) on a black Diver Pro for my better half. She has been mentioning the desire to have a "tool" watch and so while I was trying on every mens watch they had (well almost), I had my wife try on a SOH 38 and the Colt. She said that she really liked the SOH 38 but it was a little dressy and the Colt was more of an everyday watch. Usually (just for giggles) I have the AD price me some of the watches. She ask if I wanted a price on the Colt on the Diver Pro and I said sure. As soon as she said the price (which was pretty decent) I told her... "I'll take it!" My wife was shocked. Least to say, she was very surprised and I am all set with plenty of brownie points!!! :D

I also took my black Steelfish to be regulated. After almost a year, it was running about 6 seconds fast and I was wondering about getting it a little more accurate. She put it on the machine and discovered that it was technically 10 seconds fast and also slightly magnetized. Wierd huh? I dont have it around magnets at all. Anyway they de-magnetized it and re-measured it at 1 second fast!!!!! WOW it must have been that way for a long time. I should be good to go now!

Also took my new Bell & Ross Phantom in to be fixed, as it quite completely. Crap thing it they have to send it back to Bell & Ross for warranty work and it could be 4-6 weeks before it comes back. :(

They are new Anonimo dealers and ... I will probably be getting one! Really nice watches my the old Panerai craftsman in Italy. One thing really neat about them is that their cases are milled from a solid piece instead of stamped and they have some models in marine grade brass for the case! They also have some really nice straps and the straps are 100% water proof.

Anyway, nice trip to the AD....damn this addition! :)

Scott

Oh, I almost forgot... I have my AD checking about the ability of getting a black dialed SA on the Pro II in a completely brushed finish. She is supposed to let me know.

Great to get the Colt for your wife! That is an amazing watch. I would really love to have a Quartz II in my collection, but I am maxed out for quite a while now!
The SA with all brushed sounds great! Even if you just get the top of the case brushed, it looks great with contrasting polished on the sides. Seems to be that a lot more of us in this forum are going to the brushed look, or half-and-half.
I got my Seawolf today, which is like the Steelfish, brushed on top and polished on the sides. I put the OR I have on it, with the polished deployment clasp. My AD will brush the clasp for me if I want, so I am thinking just maybe brush the top and leave the sides polished, like the case. I love this look, and my new Seawolf. However, part of me is still saying that I want a watch that is all brushed, just like the older Seawolf titanium was. Unfortunately, I looked at it for a few years, and was unable to afford it at the time.
Anyway, if you can get the SA all brushed, I would go for it!
Cheers,
Carl

Great news Bronco - and that's a nice watch for your wife.

Shame about the B&R, hopefully not too serious. The Anonimo watches are wonderfully engineered pieces - not my personal taste, but certainly to be admired from a technical standpoint.

Yeah I admit that the majority of the Anonimo watch line are not to my personal taste but that Chronoscopio, with the display back was pretty nice.

If Ling Man (acceldebt) was still posting as much as he used to, he'd be having a fit at all this talk of putting brushed finishes on polished models! He was a one-man-crusade for making EVERY Breitling polished!
