Post subject: | Couple of navitimer questions |
Hi all, new to this forum, but have had a ling since 2000, when I bought an old navitimer II in the Caribbean (model A13022). Wore it with pleasure until 2006, when I caught the band of it behind something, the clasp opened and fell to the floor. This caused the dial of the small second hand to come off its axis, so I could not wear it anymore until it was repaired. Had it in to my AD for complete service, and at the same time had the dial fixed. Got it back, price for service was 433 euro, and then another 120 for a new bracelet. I wanted a sharkskin one like I had, but they don't sell these anymore? Anyway, got a nice travelcase with it when it was returned to me. A couple of questions: - what does the T stand for that is printed on the dial before and after "SWISS MADE"? - the new strap I got (yes, I know, I should be getting a bracelet, but didnt get around to it (again)) has the marking 463X in it, but didn't see this one in the listing on this site here. It does have all the other breitling marks on it, including dimensions 22/18 90 and 22-18 110. Is this still genuine or just not part of the new collection anymore? Anyway, thanks for your help in advance! PS: how do I post pictures here? |

The T relates to the type of lume that your watch has - at the time Breitling was using both Tritium and Super Luminova so the watch face indicated which the watch was equipped with - as you would expect the T is Tritium. Now that all watches are Super Luminova the marking is no longer needed. |

Sometimes you will see the Swiss Made designation with L on the side which means it has SuperLuminova. I'm sure your strap is genuine if you bought from an AD. My list of strap numbers is just a list that I compiled. It is far from complete and might have some errors.. its more like.. if you have a strap, and the numbers are there but they are incorrect (like numbered for Croco, but it is leather) then you might have a fake. Some Breitling Deployant straps dont have a number at all too.. |
