today im absolutly gutted....

my the winding pin has broken off deep into the movement. and breilting is asking about 3000 in repairs, basicly they going to replace te complete movement, im so dissapointed in this, never expected something simple like the breaking pin can be soo expensive.

its a september 2009 model so right from the start, are the early years more affected by defect and is this fixed later on?

i dont know yet what to do

The cost (and time) required to repair chronographs - column wheel chronos especially - is always a pain in the arse. The number of parts in particular becomes an issue for brands that dont want to hold vast inventories of spares - so unsurprised they are talking replacing the movement.

To answer your question, it appears Breitling have a rolling improvement program on there B01 - looking really closely it seems there have been changes to the movement over time so wouldn't be at all surprised if this is a defect they've subsequently worked through.

Try Govberg Watch Repair. I always have better luck with them.

Ask them to do it in-house or they might just send it to Breitling USA if they are busy with Watchbox (their internet sales business) watches.

Assuming you are in the US.
