And it's one of the more popular options for the LE that we are trying to get Breitling to approve (see thread at top of this page).

I have the SOHC (black/mesh bracelet). It's erm.. very imposing on the wrist and particularly in the hand due to it's heavy weight. On mesh, it's one of the heaviest stainless models at just under 150 grams. The bracelet is large enough for about 8 1/2" wrist I reckon. I took out two links for my (8") wrist. You don't need special tools or an AD to adjust the bracelet - just a correct size screwdriver if you are confident enough to do it yourself. The mesh bracelet is a chunky 4mm thick - thicker than aftermarket woven steel straps. Opinion seems very polarized about the mesh. Love it or hate it - I love it! Comfort? - could be better if a little lighter, although I'm used to a titanium watch for most of the time. The luminova is OK on the hands - but not so good on the dial - only just about adequate in the dark.

As said, it looks very classy (my second choice on this watch would be black on black calf). IMO a nice balance between dress and tool, as it's built like a brick s**thouse! The only model IMO that will overshadow this is the Chronomatic 49 on mesh.

Would I ever tire of it? Honestly, no, never. It's mine for life and then for my son. I only ever bought two Breitlings, the first in 1975, and that still makes me smile with pleasure!
