Picked up this nugget, A44355 on Ebay from a reputable NYC jeweler with 100% positive feedback, due to the price being over $2000 it was shipped to an authenticator prior to arriving at my door. I looked up the name of the authentication company on the return address and found multiple negative comments on their Google listing. Since mine included the original box, papers, and warranty card I'd imagine they didn't give it much scrutiny and kept handling to a minimum since it's in excellent condition. All in all my experience with Ebay and it's authenticator was problem free. However it seems some people are having troubles, and some of these authentication partners could be causing more problems than they solve.

No problem, my main concern was the timeframe to authenticate, like if they're slammed will it take weeks? Luckily mine was completed and picked up the same day.

My main complaint with the authentication process is with who are the "experts" in the authentication process. I sometimes sell older pieces that I know are authentic but not so sure about whomever is checking it. I found the easiest way around the authentication process is to just indicate that whatever you're selling is "modified" and it won't be eligible for authentication. If you know what you're looking at you don't need the authentication process so there should be a way to opt out as a buyer.
