Hey,
What's your opinion on the Navitimer Montbrillant. I would get a white face with a brown crocodile strap and a steel bracelet. I would use the crocodile strap in the winter, and the steel bracelet in the summer to extend the life of the bands. Are there any reliability issues with the Montbrillant? I am also looking at the brown faced Montbrillant Datora, would that be a better choice? I have a medium-sized wrist.

Datora, all the way... Just the fact that its bigger, thicker, weighs more and has a bigger bracelet..
Datora all the way.
It also looks more sophisticated and complicated....that's because it is!

For some strange reason, my favourite colour for any Navitmer is WHITE

Also a vote for Datora. Even though the Montbrillant has a cleaner dial, I like the functions of the Datora. Would love if it was bigger.

Another vote for the Datora here too. The Datora offers a nice different movement from the rest of the Breitling range, and it's bigger and hence more manly in my opinion!

Doesn't make it big enough - not even the creamy Breitling white.

Datora, Monty is very nice but ˝only˝ 38mm.

I have no problem with the size of the Montbrillant, but I'm with the consensus - go with the Datora.

If I were in the position to make a new purchase, it would be Datora all the way. I prefer a white face as well. I saw mention of the croc band...I loved my croc at first but now I really want a steel band. I hate the summer time sticky feeling with the leather but winter is ok.

Geez. I post for the the straight Monti to light a fire and no one bites! I actually like the Datora better too, for all of the stated reasons -- size especially. Sounds unanimous! :lingsrock:

So that was you with that solitary Monty vote was it, Boney?

Not a whole lot of love out there for the old classic is there. As R.E.M once said, "Monty got a raw deal". (But it doesn't matter because we all know the Datora is nicer!)

Without a doubt it has to be the Datora. Its simply understated eleganance. Best wishes to those who already are proud owners and good luck to those who are in pleasurable pursuits to acquire one! Michael. :lingsrock:
