My brand-new Aerospace Evo is defective after one month (!!!) of use. The analog time (hands) seem to fall behind the digital (LCD) time at a rate of a couple of minutes over a couple of days. I synchronised the hand a few times, with no effect.

Delivered it to the Breitling repair agent past Monday, which is also the Brazilian authorised repairer for AP, VC, IWC, Bulgari, Cartier, Zenith and a plethora of lessser brands. The clueless girl from the reception desk simply didn't understand my complaint, I had to dictate the issue word by word as she filled the repair order,

A subpar experience, to say the least. I will not compare it to a Rolex Service Centre, otherwise the subpar experience would be rated in a more expletive manner.

I spoke with a technician, he said it's a known, albeit rare, failure. But always in older watches, never in a new one.

Frankly speaking, it's quite frustrating! This problem would be shameful even in a cheap ana-digi Casio, let alone in a $ 5,000 brand-new Swiss "instrument for professionals". Luckily, I'm not a professional relying on this "instrument" to fly a plane...

Not to mention this ancient ETA module is been around for more than 30 years, should be trouble-free by now!

If I don't get an adequate solution, I will speak my mind to Mr. Georges Kern, as he's quite active on Instagram and Twitter. Already sent an e-mail to Breitling's HQ and they not replied.

I'm really upset right now!

Let's wait 20 days (yes, it's the estimated response time) and see.

Hi there, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of your disappointing experience. Did you buy it from an authorised dealer which would have been my first port of call for repair or replacement?
As with any high end purchase things can go wrong and hopefully Breitling will be able to resolve the problem. The movement is known to be reliable and long lasting so hopefully it will be a minor issue. Keep us briefed as to how things turn out.

Hi, zak57! Thanks for the warm welcome!

The AD was pretty useless, because they do not perform any repairs. I informed the Breitling Boutique (I didn't bought the watch there, but the manager is an acquantaince to mine) to put some heat on the repair agent, they were very sympathetic and cooperative.

I will keep you guys informed. Thanks!

The AD won’t usually do repairs unless very minor like spring bars etc. They are a route to Breitling though and should facilitate warranty repairs on your behalf. If you make enough noise you should get satisfaction

That’s a positive move so hopefully you’ll soon be happy with your Aerospace. A great watch.
