I saw there was an announcement for another summit webcast on May 6th. When you click notify me on the website, there is a teaser photo of a chrono shown.

Yes, this looks more like some Chronomat or Sueprocean variation...

I’ve heard it’s a cool new Chronomat with rubber strap

New 44mm Chronomat probably since the 42mm has been out now for a bit.

Still waiting on a new Aerospace.

Just watched the webcast.

Initial thoughts - I think that Super Chronomat looks absolutely fantastic. With the ceramic bezel I think it's even better looking than the standard Chronomat, and the addition of that bespoke rubber strap is a great move. Also it's good to see sensible (i.e. desirable) colourways from the off. Really impressive looking piece. The 1461 calendar variant is a very cool move too.

My only personal concern is the size. It's 14.4mm thick and 53.5mm lug to lug, so it's no shrinking violet. I know a lot of Breitling guys (especially on FB) will be over the moon with that size (and a few years ago I would've too!), but these days I go for slightly smaller pieces.

But that just a personal preference ; in all other respects I think it's an awesome looking piece!

Just a comment on the webcast - it's amazing what they can do with video technology these days. I would have sworn Georges and Brad where sitting together in a Boutique, but it was all magic and trickery. That part in particular looked great!

I can't say that I am crazy about any of them, however I do like the coordinated colors on the crown and pushers, a very nice design imo. Although I like the idea of the four year calendar I think it would be better served in the Premier line up than that of the Chronomat series. I have always thought of a four year calendar watch as more of a dress watch but Georges and the team tend to think outside the box at times so who knows!

Right now my money is being put away for the Copper Datora and or the Blue Duograph

Oh, I definitely intend to! :D

I have a 7.75" wrist so it will probably wear fine, but I just tend to wear more 39-41mm pieces these days, so the nominal dimensions scare me a little. But of course there's no substitute for trying it on.

WOW!

Compared to the old Chronomat 44 (B01), the new line has a few improvements I really like:
* a better size (slimmer, down from 16.95 mm to 14.4 mm. This makes a big difference)
* improved bezel (both better looking and better bezel action)
* and lumed hands on the subdials
And they look great!

I love the whole Super Chronomat line.

Can you get the new rubber strap on the 42 (not super) Chronomat?
