I heard about this last week but the emails officially went out today. As I mentioned on TRF, I really liked the green dial in SS when that was introduced as a LE but don't understand this one being done in DLC. I'd have much rather seen a simple 3 hand SOH model with a green dial and matching ceramic bezel. What is everyone else's thoughts on this?

Teddy Schneider would have loved it! I laugh that people who used to bitch about the release of black steel models previously who are now applauding the release of the same exact models. Like you said, a simple three hander with green dial and green ceramic bezel, at 5K list would have knocked it out of the park! Instead we get this!

I'll keep my fingers crossed on seeing that one soon.

This looks pretty clean. The only thing I don’t like is how this DLC is a scratch magnet; from what I have read.

Not for me that one. I've always hated DLC/PVD/"Blacksteel", and this does absolutely nothing to change my mind.

I totally agree with Justin that a matching green ceramic bezel would've been a nicer touch, but aesthetically this one is OK I guess... if DLC is your thing.

I'm forever holding out hope for a slightly smaller SOHC (maybe 42mm) with a B01 bicompax layout with the date at 6 like the Premier (or no date at all), in the traditional reverse panda or all black. That'd be sweet.

A smaller SOHC would be nice! For me it is cca. 41 mm, 7750-based movement with day-date, on a case-matched Ocean Classic bracelet with the Ocean Racer micro-adjust clasp. Mat black ceramic bezel, blue dial with larger lume dots, mainly at 3, 6, 9 and 12, even better markers filled with Luminova, just like that of the Chronomat 41 in a "thinner edition". Hour hand of the first series (because I find the newer one a tad too distant from the center and a tad too large, covering the subdials too much). Fingers crossed.
