This is a great site with a huge repository of knowledge in discussions, debates, and posts to learn from. Shame that photobucket went to shit a few years ago and so much was lost to deleted or invalid links.

Same! This is my first post.

I purchased my first Breitling two weeks ago, an Avenger 43 with the blue dial, and I can not be more thrilled. I have never bought any watch, or item, this expensive and not have immediate buyers remorse until this watch. I nearly walked away from luxury watches all together. I felt like a “flipper”, I never made any connection with any of my previous watches. And that includes IWC and Tudor.

I’m already looking for another Breitling. This one needs a brother.

Danny
The avenger 43 is a sharp looking piece! Congrats and wear it in Health

I got my first Breitling back in 2007 and still have it. I will also admit that i do not come here as often as I have in the past but the "How much is my watch worth or Is Breitling as good as Rolex or Is a Breitling a good investment" just got to me and I stopped coming. I do belong to a Breitling group on FB and would leave but the admin seems to be a good guy and some of the EU people are fun but the photo's of steering wheels and hood ornaments annoy the hell out of me and I do not respond to them. This place has slowed down and yes, I am a grumpy old man, but I still like to come back and find a good conversation about a Breitling with people that appreciate what is the history and what is inside the case. I have older Breitlings but I do like some of the new models. I hope this forum continues as I do believe it fills a spot that the FB groups simply do not.
Be safe all, Frank.

Frank it’s been a while since I have seen you post on here. Always nice to see some of the members I recall. Just wanted to say your Breitling collection reminds me of what I consider the golden era to be of the modern times. Great collection!

Thanks for the post and for the nice words concerning my small group of Breitlings. I have been thinking that I need a Chronomat EVO to finish it out but we will see.
Thanks again, Frank.

An EVo would be one of the quintessential Breitling to own. It’s a great watch. It’s the only Breitling I have left in my collection
