Hey I love Breitlings.... do you think the current Chronomat will ever change to a breitling 44 calibre like the Blackbird ? I like the Blackbird but it doesn't give me that WOW factor like how shiny the Chronomat does and offers two tone.

I can pretty much guarantee that it won't.

There is a polished version of the Blackbird now which is more Chronomat like, and of tcourse the Bentley 6.75 has the same movement as the Blackbird.

Really? Why do you think there will be no hope?

Because a B44 equiped Chronomat would basically just be a Blackbird. The two models are very similar in terms of case and bracelet as it is. I'm with Roff on this in as much as there just wouldn't be the market for it.

Have to agree with Driver8 and Roffensian. It would just take the exclusiveness of the Blackbird away from it, and it is already classified as a Special Edition. It would also add about $1500. to the price of the Chronomat, which would throw a lot of people off, especially when you add a discount. My guess would be that the Blackbird is probably not discounted as much, or as often, as the Chronomat.
The Blackbird is one of my very favourite Breitlings. I believe it is also the only Breitling model to have the caledar background (black) to match the dial colour (black). I would sure hope that they leave it as is.
Cheers,
Carl

The chronomat is the breadwinner of the Breitling lineup. Turning it into the slower selling blackbird would be counter intuitive.
