I almost pulled the trigger on one of these...Breitling Chronomat Limited Edition AB014112/BB47

I was thinking it was matte or brushed and not polished...any input or pics of yours would be helpful. Its almost like those are three different watches. Is that first picture just "washed out"?

The top picture is definitely a bit washed out as in real life it's full polished.

You're welcome man!

If you like the look of that one, but wanted it full brushed (and as long as you don't mind 43.5mm instead of 41mm), then you need to check out the AB011110/BA50 instead.

This is a Chronomat 41 Limited Edition (2,000pcs) and as Driver8 has mentioned, it is full polished. The Chronomat 01 Limited Edition (2,000pcs), 43.5mm is brushed with only rider tabs and side case/bracelet polished. If you prefer this combo brushed and don't mind a bigger size, besides Chronomat 01 LE, you can also consider the old Chronomat Flying Fish. However the sub-dial hands are silver and not red.

This was always my favorite LE version of the Chronomat. This was a limited run of 50 for my AD, Govberg a few years back. All bushed with yellow accents. Sorry for the crappy pics but they're in my photo bucket and I don't have any other pics since I sold this watch to a family member.

I always liked that one too Justin - just needed a black date wheel IMO.

It always killed me how Breitling blew the 41mm Chronomat: full polish only, and an outlined dial square that was "truncated" at the date wheel - which effectively makes it an irregular pentagon - were two bridges too far for an already busy design. Had they simply done a straight scale-down of the 44mm LE in a 41mm size (or better still, put out a scaled-down 41mm version of the Flying Fish on Pilot), I'd have one today.

If I recall, this was asked for when the designing of the watch was going on but that got denied.

How odd. Maybe it was during the well known 'World Black Date Wheel Shortage' of 2010.
