I may have missed this somewhere, but I thought traditionally the in house movements were going to have a different color subdial. Does the texture on the subdial count as a different color?
I think that "rule" has been somewhat abandoned. The 765 and 806 re-editions have an in-house movement and dial coloured sub-dials.

"rule" of course not applicable for Re-Editions (how could it?) & "historic" LE like the Frecce

If only it would be completely abandoned — a guy can dream, can’t he? :D

Maybe Breitling's philosophy has changed to, "They do what they want"!

may I have an example of that (with the exception of the Re-Edition and historical LE I mentioned above)?

What about 2 of the Chronomats that are 2 tone? The silver dial seems to have the same color subs as well as the blue dial. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with it if they’re going to offer this but I was just wondering if this was being changed going forward.

I’m warming up slightly to the Chronomat, but until it’s offered on just a rubber strap, I can’t justify buying a bracelet I’d never wear.

I think all the dial versions look good. For me it boils Down to if this watch was someone daily wearer.

This is the first two-tone I’ve ever liked.

That combo is definitely cool. The limited edition would be sweet as an everyday wear

At the risk of sounding pedantic, I'll note that the white panda is really a sliver panda - not an insignificant difference, since the silver dial appears to have a nice metallic sheen to it, especially with the sunray finish. I think on balance, the blackeye blue might be my favorite in purely aesthetic terms; I like the way the red seconds hand plays against it. But I do like the panda as well; I also find neutral colors are more universally wearable.

The new design is growing on me. The more I see in-the-steel pictures, the more I appreciate what the designers have done. I like the beveled hands, and especially appreciate the lume on the subdial hands. Nice, too, is the lume on the indices, which goes all the way through, rather than is only at the tips. I still am not sold on the bezel design; radial sunray brushing, a la the Rolex Explorer 2, might have made all the difference there. (Per Justin's preference, I'd also have been interested to see how a ceramic insert would have looked.) And while I think the Rouleaux looks great, I'm still concerned about the lack of micro-adjust. I understand the desire to have the clasp look seamless, but on a practical level, it's hard to go back to a fixed size after years of wearing watches with on-the-fly micro-adjust. No matter how narrow the links, the fact is the bracelet will have to be re-sized any time a size adjustment is desired. (And if the bracelet uses pins, sizing wouldn't be a quick job you can do on your way out the door. I can't tell by the pictures.) Still and all, it's a nice design that rewards repeat viewing. I look forward to seeing it in person.

I’ve committed to the silver/cream dial with the gold accents.
Can’t wait

The watch has grown on me and I’m curious to see it in person. The black eye blue would be the one I’d consider If I ever did buy one but I’d really like to see the green Bentley version. Put it on a black strap and I think you’ve got a winner. I just wish you had the option to skip the bracelet.
