This was actually a really good release. I didn’t like the last Chronomat model because I thought the bezel was too blingy.

I’m not crazy about the SuperOcean Heritage, but I got last years SuperOcean Automatic in white and love it.

I also think the ladies 35mm Navi is great.

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing. To me it, it looks like one-piece construction, with two slots for exchanging the 15 and 45 rider tabs. Am I missing something?

The line between the bezel's top (with the scale) and side (with the screws) indicates the bezel consists of two separate pieces, not including rider tabs. The scale piece appears to be an insert.

Previous Chronomat versions had no such division, since the whole bezel was one solid piece - not including rider tabs or chimney.

Yes, I see what you mean now.

I've done a quick search online but couldn't find any info on the release date of the new Chronomat...does anyone know when that'll be?

Thanks for the link Fred. The video really does highlight the watch well, but the one thing that really stood out for me was the polished bezel. I just see that being a huge scratch magnet going forward and can't help but think brushed or ceramic would've been a better option. The interchangable rider tabs are interesting, but even this guy mentions he doesn't recommend doing it for fear of scratching the polished bezel. The Bentley dial is probably my favorite of the group and would love to see it on a simple black strap someday.

I still haven't seen any images of the new packaging. I know there are still boxes available, but when it was specifically mentioned in the summit, I would have thought someone would have posted images somewhere but maybe I missed that.

Justin, the Boutique or AD will switch the riders for you at no charge to set count-up or count-down - although it’s actually more likely you’ll scratch the watch when replacing bracelets or straps.

As said, we had ceramic and brushed versions of the bezel and clearly preferred this one, as you see - although there may well be different inlays in the future.

nobody has seen pictures of the new packaging, as it isn’t final yet, it will be announced in late summer or early autumn, have not heard a final date yet.

I’m looking forward to the day a brushed or ceramic bezel will be available as well as the option to buy on something other than that bracelet.

when a watch review, from whatever source, is actually critical of the watch that they are reviewing.!
