My local AD, Market Cross Jewellers in Middlesbrough, UK, is selling a brand new 18k Transocean Chronograph at half the retail price - from £21,630 to £10,815. In 30+ years of having local official dealers in my local town, I don't ever recall a discount as high as this ever. The shop does offer the odd discount off the retail price, but never anywhere near half price. It is the only Breitling they have on offer at such a discount at the moment, and was wondering if it was due to a general difficulty in the trade in selling gold watches? Either way, if you are after such a thing this has got to be the bargain of the year! |

Breitlings in general have horrible resale value and gold watches in general typically are much harder to sell. I am surprised that they are probably taking a loss on this one as I believe dealers pay around 60% of MSRP for stock. Probably tired of carrying the cost and just want to get rid if it is my guess. |
