in order to compensate for the earth's rotational variances around its axis. The BBC and NIST have to re-calobrate their antiquated atomic clocks and they always use the professional instrument pictured below for their reference....

I've just checked my amazingly accurate Colt II SQ against an atomic clock and as expected, my Ling is now running a second fast. I can already feel my OCD flaring up. Peter |
