I have a question regarding my Super Avenger. Should the minute hand be in sink with the second hand. In other words, when the second hand is at 60, should the minute hand be right on a minute marker?

I am hoping that makes sense.

I've only tried to sync those up once before, and it worked for me.. IE, wait for the second hand to reach 12, then pull out the crown and sync the minute hand up with it. However, one breitling owner emailed me once to say that this did not work for him, and i didn't really understand why.

Normally I'm not anal enough to try and sync those up perfectly.. i just try and get it close.. like if the second hand is at 20 seconds, I will move it to 1/3 past the minute counter.

I wait for the second hand to get to 60, and then pull the crown to stop it there. From there I try to get it exactly on the minute marker, but it usually moves off a bit when I push the crown back in.

I have this issue on my Super Avenger which is only 2 months old, not only is it gaining 8 seconds per day, but the minute hand falls out of sync with the 60 seconds sub dial. I can sync it all up in line with my atomic clock sources but sure enough within a day or so the minute hand is out.

I took mine back to my AD yesterday to have it returned to Breitling UK for regulation/correction.
