Hello, all.

Well, christmas came a little earlly for me this year and my present to myself (can't rely on santa for the real cool stuff) was a CSO with black dial.

After having used it for two or three weeks now there are a couple of things that strike me in particilar. First of all it wears incredibly comfortably! And the bracelet seems really sturdy.

It runs at about +2 to +3 seconds a day and has been consistent at that rate since I started wearing it.

Also fine little scratches are showing up on the polished finish a couple of places. But I think that looks cool! :)
I'm actually looking forward to it getting a little worn and broken in. I think that will just add to the already very masculine feel of it.

Over all conclusion so far: I love it!

What are your opinions on broken in vs. pristine on your watches?

Personally I hate scratches and do all I can to avoid them.

However, if I do get them I don't tend to immediately reach for the Cape Cods. If it's a scratch that bothers me, then I will, but if they are the superfine "swirlies" I'll generally leave it until service time.

I fully agree.

I dont really notice my scratches any more. I get sick of using the polishing cloths too. I might just take it to my AD for a full polish when it seems like a good time.

One of my good friends is a major collector of Breitlings and though he tries really hard to keep them scratch-free, its hard to do so...especially if its a daily wear...

Best thing would be to get it re-polished every now and then.

Congrats on the CSO. I think it's a great watch, as I have one myself. Beware though, once you try on a larger breitling, and then put back on your CSO you're going to want a different one. Since picking up my super avenger I have to make an effort to give my CSO wrist time. I want to get rid of the CSO and buy a motors or 6.75... but I don't think that will be for a long while.
