Hi buddy, I tried once. It does work!

Regards,
Sloth Smith

Really? And what happened when the rescue helicopters arrived?

When I was in my local Breitling dealer a number of years ago, I was shown an Emergency that had had one of the alarm buttons pulled out; you could see the wire partially unwound. You can just imagine; some moron loud mouth showing off to his mates and pulling it out before. .. 'Oh shi...!'

A number of years ago Top Gear, a very popular car TV programme in the UK featured an Emergency where one of the presenters activated the alarm and was rescued by the other presenters. Obviously it was all set up, but it did make for interesting footage as it showed the alarm being activated. I can't find the episode on Youtube which features this event, but did find this:

I have heard that pilots have been genuinely rescued as a result of deploying the transmitter; I have found the following story:

Indeed. Jay from The Inbetweeners springs to mind here!

(Turns out he was just another spammer anyway - hence why his post in now gone)
