Have been wondering about this for a while, so thought I’d finally ask — are the pushers on the Aviator 8 models longer than usual?

I don't think there is something like "usual". If you take the Sinn 103 plexy the Aviator 8 pushers are longer. If you take the Avengers the Aviator 8 pushers are shorter I think. They just have to be comfy, stylish and proportionate. And If you ask me the Aviator 8 pushers tick all this boxes. A nice, a very nice product indeed.

My bad -- I should have asked my question more precisely.

Let's put it this way -- to my eye, the renderings of the Aviator 8 seem to portray the pump pushers as extending farther beyond the crown than in other B01 models like the Navitimer or the TOC. Don't know if that's true or not, but I'm curious what people may have experienced who have seen them in the metal.

Now I understand better, thanks for the clarification! Still I don't think it is longer but it is an easy check with a slide gauge at the AD. I've just compared the catalog scans of the Avi 8 and the SOHC: mostly the shape of the pushers differ, the touch-part being thinner but wider on the Avi 8. I just like it the way it is.

They do look slightly longer in pictures than those on my SOHC with the B01 movement. I’ll see if I can get a better look this week.

Pushers are pretty much the same as navitimers, just the tubes poke out a bit more

Well -- I'll answer my own question, now that I've had a chance to see these in person. If the pushers are longer, it is only microscopically so -- everything seems quite balanced to me.

Saw a live shot of one that someone picked up over on the Rolex forums here. You have to scroll down some, but it does look really nice.

Here are some shots of mine:

And the pushers seem to be a perfect length. They look longish I think due to the thin crown.

I really love the mosquito! It looks even better in live pictures with the pop of color. I can definitely see myself going after one of those at some point. Enjoy the new watch!
