So has anyone who ordered one got the call that their watch has come in? I'll admit, I saw a real life photo over on the Rolex forums and I'm kind of disappointed I didn't jump on the chance to get one when they were announced.

have a link to that forum, would love to see the reaction/criticism?

we’ve started shipping about 10 days ago, but it will take a bit until all are out, mine hasn’t arrived yet.

I’ll link the last page with the pictures

The general feedback over there has been very positive.

That’s still very cool Fred. I’ll probably kick myself for not buying one but there will always be something else that comes along.

I am in the US and received my 806 earlier this week. My AD received it last week, but I was out of town at the time. My # is 545/1959. So if you are waiting for one I imagine it shouldn’t be too much longer.

I see over the the Rolex forums now there is mention of a platinum version with a blue dial. What’s the story on that Fred?

59 pieces.
midnight blue dial
silver hands.
mesmerizing.

only a “1959 Edition”, not Re-Edition, as there was no blue dial platinum 806 in 1959, but I’m sure Willy Breitling would have loved it.

Some more side by side photos of an actual vintage watch next to the re-issue.

I couldn’t be happier with how the watch turned out. It was a long wait, but definitely happy with it. I hope everyone gets their watches soon.

I received mine and it was in #300’s range...I love everything about it! Curved glass, glossy dial with textured markers...

Fred, the pushers seem a little far apart. I assume this was to fit the different movement?
