For the 2020 season and beyond, Jacques Bothelin, Apache Aviation President, is setting up a sponsor research strategy using unique know-how, developed over 37 years of aerial demonstration. His team’s future will be hopefully ensured either through an exclusive sponsor or a pool of co-sponsors.

I think they just decided they didn’t want to be exclusive partners, but would stilllike to share sponsorship as the costs are big big,

No mention of Breitling co-sponsorship. Even if it is true they won't be Breitling Jet Team anymore.

I don't know, it doesn't look good. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: There is a news on Breitling site, they are "open to staying on board as co-sponsor" so no gurantee there :

I think, generally, the direction is moving away from the concept of "instruments for professionals", unless, of course, a chef needs a watch in the same way as a pilot (no offence to chefs, but you get my drift).

I guess Breitling's new corporate overlords just want to protect their profit margins. It's a horrible move, but then again cost of running just once jet is insane, much less a squad of jets. My old man is a benefactor for an organization that maintains just a few Huey helicopters from the Vietnam era and the costs are bat-shit insane.

I have ZERO details to back this up but it feels as if paying the tab for all the actors and athletes for breitling squad this and that ate the tab of the jets. First they took the wings, then the chrono on the navitimer, now the jets...
