So my collection current consists of a Superocean 44 on a blue face and a Avenger II Seawolf. Next up is most likely an Aerospace Evo. I am looking volcanic black on a textile strap. Some good value in the €2500 mark for them new. Anything I should be looking out for or does someone want to throw something else into the mix for me to consider? |

I'm on my second Evo now. First was Mariner blue, now it's Stratus silver. I had the old Avantage too, and I feel that the Evo is the best size and design. Just my opinion of course. Never had a problem with any Aerospace, just ask the seller when the last battery change was. This will be a cost to consider if it was over 3 years ago. It's easy enough to change it yourself anyway. As for alternatives to the Evo which include the equivalent amount of kudos, quality and desirability..... Hmmm I can't think of one! I had the TAG Heuer Chronotimer which is often considered in a Ana-digi discussion, but I still rate the Aerospace Evo higher. |

Another fan of the EVO here. The Avantage was great, but I kept catching the rider tabs on stuff. Can do some damage to clothing! Never bonded with the tuxedo dial but some love it. I love the bevelled crystal on the EVO which catches the light subtly, lifting it just slightly above standard tool watch looks. Despite the 1mm size increase it still sits nice and flat in the wrist. If you’re going for an untreated finish, I’d get one on a bracelet as it’s damn expensive on its own. Definitely ask questions about battery charges and look for damaged case back screws. There’s some real ham fisted numpties out there causing all sorts of damage changing batteries them selves. It’s an easy ish job, but some people just aren’t up to it. |
