Good evening All,
I've had my SAvenger for years(@ 12 or so) and it has worn without issue, until the other day when the crown came off.... It screws back on but will not allow date or time adjust. Clearly it needs to go in for repair. Though I have not worn this daily or at times even weekly I always thought it was close to bullet proof, but just clearly I was wrong.
My question is what is the expected cost? Last quote I received when inquiring about just cleaning was @ $800 and that was 5 or so years go. I assume that a new crown and stem will require some type of overhaul. So, the potential cost makes me shudder. Especially considering my watch, which is in very good condition, problems excluded, is only worth about $2800.00
Are crown and stem problems common on SS models like the titanium ones??
Any ideas as to cost or suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks
