Hello just how tough is the AR coating on the outside ? Does it wear off ? just curious .. thanks ![]() |

It's pretty tough but not completely scratch resistant. I've never had an issue but it can wear off, I've seen pieces for sale where the coating has deteriorated. If you ever have a need to polish your watch try to avoid getting any polish or abrasives on the crystal as these can harm the coating. In cases where the coating is damaged it can be completely removed by polishing with a cape cod cloth but that takes quite a bit of work! |

if i occasionally clean the crystal from smudges using a plain cotton or silk cloth do i ruin the ar coating or not? |
