Hi Everyone

Its NaviFriday so I thought it would be good to start a dedicated thread to the New 1959 Navitimer 806 Re-Issue Limited Edition. I was lucky enough to be invited to Basel 2019 and get hands (wrists) on with this new release and others as well as being able to compare it with some original vintage Navitimers.

Read my review here...

I know some initial thoughts were started here https://breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=65506 but I feel the title isn't really helping.

Enjoy the article and it would be great to hear who is looking forward to buying this piece and if you've managed to get your name down with retailers...

All the Best
S

Nice review.
As for the reissue, I really like it. Although I am not so sure where breitling may be headed with this and the Navitimer 1 or Navitimer 8 lines.

The new B09 calibre allows them to explore their back catalogue further with future Limited Editions of iconic pieces.
We are yet to see how they will utilize the movement in core ranges, though the Navitimer B01 will remain in its current form with new B logos and the Navitimer 8 has now been re-named Aviator 8 to avoid confusion with 'Modern' Navitimer fans, again that model range remains and has a recent boost with the Curtiss Warhawk collection.

Great review! This is such a beautiful watch! Breitling seems to be going back to their roots, which is a very good thing.

Though I find the authentic steel case back a good choice I'd love to see a few photos about the B09 handwinding movement - wonder if the case-back side view differs from that of the B02.
Best,
Robert

Not sure how I missed this review when it was posted up over a month ago! Nicely done.
