Between this and the Premier, I’m anxious to see what else will be unveiled. I had to laugh since over on the Rolex forums they feel that the Navitimer is overpriced. One person suggested it’s 2000-2500 more than it should be. |

And of course you have your wonderfully tolerant Moderators here to thank for that!  No, in all seriousness, the "freedom of speech" we have here with regards to watches (by all brands) is one of the things that has kept me coming back over the last 12 years. This is just a general comment (and not directed at any other place) but I've never really seen the point of a forum or FB group only allowing sycophantic "love-in" comments. Everyone has an opinion and as long as it's expressed in a constructive, or at least respectful, manner then I think that's a healthy thing to have. Plus it inspires discussion, and discussion is the lifeblood of forums IMO. |

well, haven't read anything similar on RolexForums ever: ""I own a daytona, and this thing blows it away in every way. First, this Navi is actually legible, looks to be an excellent and hand-wound movement, and has real heritage, not just something that is famous because the salad dressing guy wore it. Indeed, Omega with their coming 321 release and this Navi, the reality is Rolex has not been that exciting to be recently. Can you imagine if they did something like what Breitling just did with the Navi to the Daytona, now that something worth getting excited about. Like a Daytona 6263 reissue! " guy hasn't been banned or crucified yet, overall responses are quite similar actually. |

I'm actually shocked that nobody has called this guy crazy yet but I think most of the Rolex fanatics aren't going on the Breitling sub forum. |

Not only has he been listening to the brand’s customers but he’s also pulling out all the stops to give them exactly what they’re asking for. It would have been far easier to create a homage piece that used an existing movement, dial, etc. Instead, Breitling chose to dive into its archives, work with a passionate and knowledgeable collector and recreate something genuinely cool. I have no doubt all 1,959 pieces will sell out. This is a really great watch. It’s comfortable, it looks good, it’s reasonably priced and it has genuine appeal for collectors and enthusiasts alike. I just didn’t expect to be saying that about a Breitling watch." |
