Post subject: | AD-s can help here: Do different Navi bracelets fit SOH-s? |
I'm playing with the idea how the SOH 38 mm would look with the Navi bracelet of the Montbrillant (both 38 mm, 20 mm fit) and the SOHC would look with the Navi bracelet of the Navi World (both 46 mm, 24 mm fit). Scans would be welcome, possibly close-ups too. I think AD-s have all the models to try the shift - in a positive case lots of Navi bracelets would be ordered for SOH watches, like Ocean Classics ordered for the Navi line. Thx and best regards: Robertus |

Your problem with any of these is the end-links. The Navi bracelet on the World for example is curved to hug the case between the lugs : therefore unless the case curvature is EXACTLY the same on the SOHC (which I doubt), then it won't fit properly. You may have more luck with bracelets have that straight end pieces like the Speed bracelet, but even then (as my old experiment with putting a Speed on an SA) there's not guarantee of an exact fit. Maybe after Xmas (if no-one gets there first) I could mock something up using Photoshop, but as I say there's no guarantee that it'd fit in real life. |

Thx for reply, now I'm not really interested in Photoshop if fit won't work in real life. That's why I thought first that AD-s could try the switch and scan the results. If fortunate, holes in lugs have the same disctance from the case - as not only lug widths but case diameters match too, only the distance of the holes from the case determines if Navi bracelets can perfectly fit or not. Accidentally they might fit perfectly but it can be detectd only by trial this time. There could be an easier "prescreening" of the chances though: if someone could take the very exact distances (let's say to 0.1 mm) between the holes of the lugs (which sould be cca. 50 mm in case of the 46 mm cases and cca. 42 mm in case of the smaller ones) and find that no real differences are to be detected then we could go on letting someone do the shift. In case of large differences of these distances no real good luck is to be expected... So further inputs are highly welcome! Have a nice Xmas! Robertus |
