So, back to the Navitimer... Fred -- I wonder if you could clarify what the complementary colors are on these models. On the Swiss Air piece, it appears that the color is red -- which would make sense, in light of Swiss Air's colors. On the Pan Am piece, I can't tell whether the color is orange or red. Any ideas? |

This one leaves me torn! I on one hand love the concept of celebrating Breitling's storied history, but find it a bit too loud for my taste with the red, Will have to see this one in person before I decide as I just cant buy a piece simply for ownership, it has to be wearable. I hope they come down with a normal production toned down version. Regardless of personal taste, bravo team Breitling on the great effort and on celebrating a true icon of watchmaking! This one will have a huge following for sure! |

Guess I’m a bit slow on the uptake — just realized for the first time that the inner orange/red (?) ring is a tachymeter scale. |

Too much color. I like the idea of the airline versions but the color array reminds me of a Swatch (heavy handed). Minimize, or drop, the colors. Reminds me of all those different color Superoceans. |

Nice overall look. Dislike the flat tip hour and minute hands. |

This PanAm one is OK, but I personally think it could do with a little less orange. Funny, because it's basically the same as the SwissAir version (just blue instead of black, and orange instead of red), but for me the SwissAir one works much better. This one is still nice, but a little bit too much colour. Even so I'm still enjoying these new pieces very much. |

I’m not sure if Fred saw my previous question, but, having studied the renderings closely, I still am not sure if we’re talking red on the Swissair and orange on the Pan Am, or whether they are both red. |

Not sure. Georges says orange in his IG posts, but the SwissAir especially looks red to my eyes in pictures. Either way I feel the SwissAir version works VERY well indeed : the PanAm a little less so. |

From a historical perspective, I guess I would have imagined orange all around — so that would make sense to me. |

SwissAir is red (and the historical examples are red too btw, a bright "orangy" red; will post inspiration examples mid next week when the squad is complete). |

last of the "Golden Age of Aviation" Navitimers, inspired by the color codes of TWA. my favorite "in the metal", lovely anthracite subdials (like the ref. 815 LongPlaying from 1969), subtly chamois, white & orange dial, great on the "distressed" brown strap for me, trying to get some more hi res pics. |
