Well OK, it's settled, the new Driver8 Chronomat should start production immediately! :) You did thin in down a bit too I presume.

An upgraded clasp is something I forgot. It would be a must on anything new.

My ideal would be a two-tone B01, Mother of Pearl dial with roman numbers and croco gold strap

oh actually Fred any reason why there couldnt be a B01 base, tri compax, Rattrapante and GMT with a 6 oclock date?

if hands are an issue then you could use one of the subdials to add the GMT

that would be bloody awesome in one watch

adding the GMT to a subdial would be a huge movement re-design.
also the current Rattrapante requires /very) large cases, as it is very high.
but all interesting ideas & we have a "blank canvas" thread here, love that!

i know Georges has said on quite a few occasions Breitling isn't going Haute Horology but with the catalogue they have they don't have to and can still add some serious punch in terms of complications

with Rattrapante, GMT, Chronogaph, 24hr and unitime, all in house already plus they in house hand would bi compax used in the 1915 there is loads to build from, would love them to bring a 1461 in house. start combining some of the functions and you can pack a lot into a timepiece

like you said might take some serious redesign though

Thanks for your kind words gents, I really appreciated it. :D My mock-ups aren't as polished as they could be as it was only about an hour of my time, but I often think seeing a visual representation is a good way to test ideas.

I think Driver has a promising career in watch design :) I would buy both of those models!

That'd be an absolute dream job for me Nate! I may have left it a little late in the day now though as I'm in my 40's!

Thanks a lot Fred. I know these designs don't really play to your favourite Breitling era, so I certainly appreciate your words.

Alex, there's a new head of R&D/industrialization, Kilian Eisenegger. The guy who at ETA worked w/ George Daniels to industrialize the Co-Axial Escapement, one of the very, very talented movement designers in the world.

Working on many projects, we just need a bit of patience ;)

Superb D8 - nice design skills indeed!

I like it. A Chronomat has to have rider tabs for me so :cheer: I would also prefer a more vintage look; definitely slimmed down and at a max of 42mm/43mm with an upgraded clasp. I'm not as fussed on the date wheel as you are  Seems Excellent! Let's get cracking.

i would take the blackbird big date case and bracelet, keep the mix of polished and brushed facets

put a B01, B03, B04 and in house big date in there with a sapphire caseback. 44mm with 22mm lugs

i would keep all the hands lumed like the BB and the lume dot on the bezel

i would consider the guilloche back on the dial that was used on the TO GMT

This would be great love the Blackbird. The lume was fantastic on the blackbirds.
