Regular light cleaning is the key initially.

A quick wipe over with a clean soft microfiber cloth at the end of each day is a good start. Next, consider periodic washing with a mild dish-soap before rinsing it with plenty of fresh water and giving it a quick buff-up with a clean soft microfiber cloth. (With an SA you'll be fine doing this as long as the crown is screwed in, but otherwise make sure you observe the watch's REAL WORLD water resistance rating).

For scratches on polished surfaces, you might want to invest in some Cape Cod polishing cloths as they give excellent results. For brushed finishes a fibreglass scratch removal pen/brush is useful if you go very carefully, and for larger areas (i.e. refinishing) then a good old Scotchbrite pad can work wonders.

In all cases of polishing and brushing, just go very slowly and carefully, making sure you mask off areas of different finish.

And if all else fails, then Breitling will happily address any surface finishing issues at the next service.

What Diver8 said and be careful of the AR coating on the crystal when using the Cape Cod cloth. It can damage it so I mask it off with small pieces of masking tape. Also, refrain from using a Dremel tool with buffing wheel unless you are very familiar with metals.
Post photo's when you get the SA.
