When I first got my navitimer world the AD taught me how to calculate the tip with it. I was impressed by the little party trick. Then I got into running and the miles to km conversion came in handy.
5 years later, the engineer in me got the best of me and I took it upon myself to learn how to use all the features of the slide rule in full. I ended up creating a visual guide to share with all other slide rule owners. It is really not that hard to use.

I've been posting on reddit the lessons as I go. It has been nice to have some pilots chime on their stories about the slide rule during flight school.
The complication has resonated well with me. Now that I know how to use it, I've bonded even more with the watch.
It is a work in progress. If other navitimer owners would like to contribute I would appreciate it. I want to show the different slide rule dials among navitimers. I noticed some versions of the navitimer have the complete slide rule while others have a tachymeter instead. If you have a nice camera and a navi, do let me know
