Been gone a loooooong time but had to come back to comment on the Premier. That panda is probably the nicest Breitling I’ve ever seen. Not just in new releases but EVER and I will certainly be getting one from Govbergs very soon. Stunning watch.

good to see you again - and what an endorsement ;)
hope that you will like the Premier in the metal as much as you like it in the pictures, but feel confident you will.

some recent irl pics, showing some case & dial details.

-Not sure if killing the Transocean range entirely is a good thing since I know there are many Transocean fans out there. The key issue is that the mass majority often view Breitlings as pieces that would eventually go "obsolete" since the brand often does "major" changes to their lineups. Whether this particular move is a good one, it appears to confirm that belief. It is one issue that has been keeping many consumers away from the brand. They like models that are available for a long long time, and still look the same, and very hard to get.

Good point -- I think that some stability as to core lines and models is essential going forward. My suspicion is that, when the dust settles, Kern will have established a framework for doing just that. Time will tell...

I know Kerns will. I understand what he is aiming to do. What I fear is how long he will stay with Breitling and should another CEO takes over, are we looking at the same thing happening all over again :?

i cant see him leaving or being replaced at the end of the day CVC gave the management team equity for exactly that reason, they arent daft they know who they want.

precisely; he has his own money invested and I see no scenario to make him leave Breitling in the foreseeable future. Kern has left one of the most prestigious jobs in the industry (and many think the position as heir to the throne) to take over as Breitling CEO. He's there to say.

WOW!!! That blue dial does look amazing and the pair with the Navi bracelet adds a new element to the watch. Beautiful pairing. The finishing looks very high quality as well. This isn’t just a home run for Breitling, it’s a grand slam! I’ve been waiting a long time for Breitling to create a piece that would blow me away and this has done it. I can’t wait to see them in the flesh and now I have to reconsider Panda on croc or Blue on bracelet.

Great photos!!

Fred thanks for sharing all the amazing photos!! The more I look at them the more I love them. I actually can't decide which color I like the best as all of them, including the Bentley look incredible. Can't wait to try these on.

Oh yes I forgot that he is a shareholder himself. Hope he stays healthy and lives a long long life.

On a side note, even though the 2018 models might not be on my radar, I think the Super 8 and Premier B01 will sell best among them.

I think this line is a step in the right direction. I really like the B01 blue dialed version :lingsrock:

Now I’ve heard it all, Fred considering a Bentley model.

Collection is no more, only a few pieces in the winder now and an Apple Watch 4. I’ve been keeping him busy and will be adding a Premier from him soon. How you been?? Looks quiet around here, where’d everyone go???

Post subject:  Re: New Premier Models

My collection is at 5 right now. I’ve got a SubC along with a Datejust 2 and the other 3 are Breitlings, my colt GMT, a Chronomat Airborne, and a Colt Skyracer. I’m adding another watch sometime within the next 4 or 5 months but it’ll likely be an Omega or a Tudor. I’m leaning towards the Tudor Heritage Chrono in blue over the Omega Mark 2 Rachg dial or maybe the original moon watch. I want something with a vintage vibe but in the $4-6K retail price range. The premier B01 chrono would be nice but I like the panda dial but I’ve already got one in the Airborne. A preowned Navi or even a Transocean is always possible as well. I need to plan a trip to Govberg once I decide on buying.

This whole forum has really died down in the past year or so. It’s really good to see some more interactions on here.

we should add that traffic on all watch forums is down drastically - the „action“ is on instagram and facebook, with some excellent Breitling groups.

That’s true, Timezone is a ghost town now as well. The only real active forum is the Rolex forums.

I’m not sure what’s on Facebook since I refuse to have a page on there and the same with Instagram.
