All,

I've owned a Colt GMT for several years and have been searching around for my next watch the past few months. Im currently in Orlando, FL for work, and stumbled into the Tournaue outlet store at one of those shopping centers. They had a nice white dial, brown ( calf) strap for $3,3xx. I've noticed this price is considerably cheaper than they retail in other stores. I'm not real familiar with model numbers and such, but is this a good deal. If it is an older model, is it still worth purchasing? Its new with box and papers.

I do have a tournaeu store near my house, so if something went wrong with it i'm sure i would be able to work with them.

Thanks
Andrew

I might be wrong, but I think someone mentioned the Chrono-Matic to be discontinued. Then, this particular store might have decided that they want to clear out their supply of the model?

Correct, the regular (left crown) chrono-matic has been dropped from the 2009 Chronolog. Discontinued pieces often get discounted, but this is a little soon. If it's the outlet store you might want to check that it is completely new rather than a return.

Its a decent deal, but you can do just as good or better from a good AD.

Tourneau is an AD. They have several outlet stores. We have one in my town. When you buy from the outlet, it is just like buying from Tourneau, just a whole lot cheaper. I don't know how they get away with it, but they do (might have somthing to do with them being the largest watch retailer in the world). When you buy from the Tourneau outlet, you get full documentation, 2 year Breitling internationl warranty plus a third year from Tourneau. Breitling inventory is hit or miss because they just sell overstock inventory from the other Tourneau stores. You can buy a Breitling from the outlet for around the same price as the online gray market resellers like authentic watches. They are legit.
