I will be receiving my Bentley 6.75 by the New Year and I also Have a Tissot-Le Locle and an Oris-TT1 Diver What do you guys think or purchasing this winder. My view is that Its not top quality but its also not the cheapest you can get please a lot of input would be great thanks guys and Happy Holidays! |

I think most members with experience in winders will say it mostly comes down to the motor. Will it last? - Is it quiet? - Will it get noisy? The case is a matter of personal taste. Looks a good price for a quad winder so may be worth a go - even if you buy 1 every year! Still not looked into winders enough - with only 1 auto it's not too bad winding and adjusting from time to time. Maybe I'll need one after Santa has been! |

Very good BB - a laugh a minute  
I'm not familiar with the brand, but as BB says it comes down to the motor in large part - buy non Chinese for more money and hope it lasts or buy Chinese for less money and expect to replace regularly. The whole industry is overpriced to me. I'm guessing at the price point that it's a Chinese motor, but I also notice that they offer 1 and 2 year protection plans. I'm not generally a fan of those, but the price seems reasonable. |

Thanks for posting that, seems like a good dela. Even if it has to be replaced yearly it is still a better deal than many others I have seen. Especially a 4 watch w/ individual control. After Santa has visited I will be procuring one also! Thanks again for the find!

Get an Orbita .... they are great..... Archie has 1 and he swears by it..... ORBITA in fancy coffin box wood! way to go! Orbita is a great American brand.... go old US of A. Excellent customer service.... I emailed them about a ladies module and they sent me the cushion for FREE! and I am in australia.... They are a great croud those Orbita people.... I can not recommend them highly enough! ORBITA! Only way to go! |

on a side note.. Archie why do you continue to speak of yourself in the third person? Kinda annoying, in a way. Like listening to Bob Dole's presidential run. Back to winders, you have to be carefull as well about getting a winder that has a rest period and doesnt just constantly rotate. Scott |

It's modular which I like (you don't have to commit to a multiple watch winder) and it has a sleep function. They are pricey, but I hear good things about their lifespans. I hope that what I hear is true, and I hope I've been a good enough boy so that Santa remembers. |

Winders are amongst the most overpriced things in the watch industry IMO. The problem is that because in most cases the internals are hidden in a pretty box, a lot of manufacturers can get away with putting rubbish components inside. My own personal take on watch winders is to buy the cheapest that meets my needs. So primarily that means they need to programmable, have rest periods built into the cycle, and have the option to run clockwise, anti-clockwise, and alternating. I also prefer the closed type (i.e. without a window in the top to keep them hidden away. As long as a winder meets that criteria I am happy, and if it's cheap and only lasts a couple of years - so be it. I had my fingers burnt with both a Steinhausen and a Rapport in the past - both were expensive for twin winders and both disappointed me. The Steinhausen was too fast and the the Rapport had to go back for repairs.... which lasted all of a few months. I now have an Official Time 6 way that cost about the same as my 2 way Rapport. No doubt it has Chinese internals, but so far it's performed better than either the Steinhausen or the Rapport, and for the price I can't complain. If it dies on me I'll just buy another. I would be very concerned spending thousands on a winder knowing how flakey even expensive pieces of kit can be, but each to their own. |
