I know, totally different beast from the B50
But love it. I had been wanting to scratch the Rolex itch for a long time and the lousy experience with B50 is what pushed me over the proverbial edge to get the Milgauss.

The Milgauss is on my list. It looks nice.

Thanks my friend. Hope you get yours soon and enjoy it as much as I have mine. Be prepared for the glances and compliments that will be coming your way!

Thanks! What drew me to the Milgauss initially was the blue dial and the lightning bolt second hand. I think it's unique.
Yes very unique indeed. The GV green sapphire involves a very complicated manufacturing process according to Rolex and it is not offered on any other Rolex watches outside of the Milgauss. Same for the thunderbolt seconds hand.
What’s GV green sapphire? I looked at the Milgauss again and now I can’t decide if I want the blue or the black.
Green Glass = Glace Verte in French. Hence the “GV” nomination.

Both are beautiful. I prefer the Z Blue because the dial really pops but overall dial legibility is probably better on the black version.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the Z Blue only because that was my first pick.

I have the Aerospace and love the wear comfort and one of the coolest function: the electronic minute repeater. I don't regret buying it.

Oh yes! The minute repeater function is unique to this model.

Both the Z Blue and Black have GV Sapphire, correct?

The Milgauss has never rocked my boat but I have rich experience with blue and green and writing about it here might be of a little bit of help:
I used to have the Sinn Arktis which is a beautiful watch with blue galvanized dial. (Sold her because whenever I wish to wear a blue dial watch I turn to one of my "Breitling-blue" dialled Breitlings. :) ) The Sinn Arktis originally came with a saphire crystal that had a green antireflex coating inside. This combo (green crystal in front of a blue dial) seemed very unesthetic to me and I've replaced the crystal to one with blue antireflex coating on both inside and outside. (All Sinn 103/203 Sa series came first without antireflex treatments, then green inside, finally - even today - blue both sides.) This crystal replacement turned the watch a real beauty, even her mother couldn't have recognized her any more... Of course tastes and preferences may vary and the Milgauss LV has her own fan club but on my own experience I would never ever purchase a watch with green crystal and blue dial again. (Quite off-topic by now...)

Thanks, I’ll have to check out a Milgauss in person again and pay attention to the colored sapphire.
