Hello all,

I’m new to the forum and to Breitling. Thoroughly enjoying my Seawolf so far. I’m diving into the world of straps for it and have already picked up a few very nice Aaron Bespoke straps that dress it up quite a bit. I got the watch new on the stainless bracelet and was curious as to thoughts on a dive strap and an every day leather. I’m between an Isofrane, Hirsch Pure or an OEM with deployment for the dive strap and I’m leaning towards a Hirsch heavy calf (black with white stitching) for the every day leather. Any thoughts and or pics are appreciated.

Brian

Before buying the OEM strap and deployant, I'd maybe look for a less expensive rubber and see if you like the look and feel. The one downside with OEM straps and clasps are the costs so I'd made sure you like it first. You could even try a local AD to see if they have anything on rubber you could try out.

Consider the Ocean Racer & clasp. The clasp is excellent and easily adjustable with a simple to operate slide mechanism, it’s the best clasp I’ve ever had. Replacement rubbers are sensibly priced and I expect you could get customs made to fit.

Thank you for the feedback. The isofrane was actually my thought to try a well respected more reasonably priced rubber option. I had an Oris Depth Gauge and loved the natural rubber band on deployment clasp so I’m sure I’d love the original equipment. I’m not sure if a deployment clasp is quite worth the cost difference.

Preowned deploy will hold its' value. New rubber runs $100-200. I have SO Chrono II, & M2000 on preowned deploy & love the ease of micro adjust. I can adjust during the
course of the day as my wrist expands or contracts.

Thank you for the feedback. I ended up ordering an isofrane to see what I think. I’ll post pictures when I get it installed.

Ended up with a Hirsch heavy calf black for an every day leather. I’m quite happy with it so far. Haven’t thrown the Isofrane on yet but I’ll update when I do. Image

That Hirsch strap is a nice choice. Ties into Dial, Hands & Markers.

Thank you! I’m happy with it and for the price, I can replace it four times over for what the genuine article would have cost.

flyinb44, as a strap entusiast myself can you share more pics of your piece with the aaron bespoke staps. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the quality of the materials, craftsmanship, attention to detail and softness of the straps.

Additionally what was your experience with commissioning work with him?
I am familiar with his impressive work but I found his lack of communication a a deal breaker to work with him.

@Dweller: thank you. It was quite comfortable and I was impressed with the quality. This is my first ISO.

@ernesto: I didn’t commission these straps from Aaron. I purchased them from another member on here when they didn’t sell with his Colt. I feel that the quality is very good. I’d be happier if the hole spacing was more even but that’s more my OCD than anything else and you’re going to get variation with handmade products. I obviously didn’t pay retail but I would moving forward based off the product. I have a friend who just ordered a few custom straps from him for his Gulf edition Monaco and he’s also very happy with the product. He also mentioned that he had several communications with Aaron before pulling the trigger. He succeeded in getting them turned around rather quickly as well so he could have them for the holiday. I’ve included some pictures for your review. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
