New to this forum, and haven't yet owned a Breitling. Been looking at the GMT for a while, I like the size (43mm) and it's relatively thin at 12.2 mm. Has a rugged, sporty look and I've always wanted a GMT feature on a watch. Also likely to get it on a blue rubber strap. Purchasing new from a local AD, the price is pretty good. It seems like a good watch value.

For me, reliability, accuracy and durability are the most important attributes (once you buy in to the appearance). I'm interested in members' experience with Breitling in general and with the Avenger II line. The movement is a modified ETA, read recently that daily winding stresses this particular caliber. Heard about this?

Thanks for your comments.

Hi there.

Had my black dial version for a little over two years now and can thoroughly recommend it.

Keeps great time, looks equally good on the bracelet, rubber strap or leather.

(I recently bought the brown leather strap and deployant clasp and I love the way it changes the whole watch)

The blue version is stunning as well. (I had a tough time choosing)

Good luck with your decision

Nick

2892 derivatives aren't prone to winding issues afaik. The 2824 is however known to present some issues in tudors but I haven't run into them.
