I saw in an AD the other day the '08 airwolf. Didn't like the face as much as the original, but was interested in the new fully lumed minute hand. I was curious to see how it would look on my '07 model. The service centre said they wouldn't put a non standard hand on the watch. My question is, can a watch repairer or other party easily change these. ie get the part & put it on. I know B changes the hands at a major service anyway. Any suggestions.

Getting the parts might be tough as Breitling only tend to make them available to Service Centres. However, if you could get hold of them, any competant watch-maker should be able to fit them for you.

However, it's worth bearing in mind two things - firstly, non-standard parts will reduce the value of your watch for resale purposes and also may make people think it's a fake. And secondly, when you send it into Breitling for a service, the chances are they will replace the hands with the correct ones for your model as they don't like non-standard parts on their watches, as you have already found out.

Especially as hands are single use so they would be replaced during service as a matter of course.
