Post subject: | Superocean turning Dial |
Been out for a meal with my family, came home and noticed that my dial had turned clockwise about 45 degrees. Turned the bezel and it turned in the opposite direction to about 80 degrees. The watch is 4 years old and is my weekend beater. it gets the odd knock, only normal stuff and runs about 7 seconds slow, which i was ok with, but i am totally gutted this has happened. Anyone got any ideas. |

The dial mounting legs have broken, back to Breitling I'm afraid. They'll recommend an overhaul and a new dial. |

Not a cheap option but better than trusting non authorised repairers that have no access to genuine parts. |

This is the second yellow SO with this failure in the last month. Both stating that you can't recall any hard hits. Any chance this run of dials has an issue ? The other one is in the help section. |

The fact that the face moves when the bezel was rotated is really weird, aside from the obvious defect of the face turning there is or should not be any linkage between the two. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk |

I can make the dial slowly turn, by turning the bezel. I got the dail to line up, dont know if it will stay there. The bezel is not lined up though.....grrrrrrr ![]() |

The date seems perfectly centred in the window. Are you sure the whole movement isn't loose? Also, the bezel is completely separate from the crystal and the dial. The "chimney" and the mid case is what the bezel rests on, so I'm failing to understand how moving the bezel would move the dial. If it was a Navitimer maybe, but not this one. |

It may be just the vibration of the of the bezel thats moving the dial. It turns very slowly. The date wheel is not moving though, it changes as the dial moves. I am at my AD when it opens at 10 tomorrow. Love watches so much, this is the best i have owned up to now, hope all is not lost Will let you know how it goes |

I also don't think the bezel should be on the inside of this watch but on the outside of the crystal and dial like a Rolex oyster. I would suggest you just get it serviced. |
