Post subject: | Breitling Dealer Lies.... |
Hello All, I am now in LOVE with the Breitling Navitimer Montbrilliant range.... I was told by my AD that the 38mm Montbrilliant is the LADIES WATCH of the range.... personally I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS! A rolex gents FULL SIZE datejust was just 36mm (before the new model came out)...... Surely the Montbrilliant is a mens watch? I was offered a Datora with a retail price of AU$8100- for AU$6900- How does that price compare? What do you think I could get for my Old Navi II ? Kind regards, |

I thought you were being made redundant and having to sell your watches? |

I am shocked to hear that an AD would tell you that. Which AD was it? Seems counterintuitive to the whole selling process, unless you were a woman. sorry to hear about your job. I thought you were trying to build a four watch collection, one for each of your children. There will be plenty of time to get more though, hang in there... |

36 is a bit large for a lady IMHO... your AD is full of crap. The Datora price is good. (we are talking on a steel bracelet right? ) |

I sure I'm missing the obvious.. the Montbrilliant is very nice but its the less 'butch' of the range. So I can see the AD's opinion, but I would have worded it better to a customer. Personally the World & Datora are my favourites by a country mile. By the way does the middle dial show a separate time zone in 24hr. great looking watch.. old style elegance! |

Personally the 38mm standard Monty is way too small for me. I have average sized wrist but after having the Steelfish on my wrist all the time, I wouldnt even consider the standard Monty for myself...but I did have my wife try it on and it looked fantastic on her wrist. Wears a lot smaller because of the thinkness. The watch is just awesomely detailed. By the way she has very small wrist. I figure she'll eventually be getting one of these. I say if it looks good to you and ON you, then whats the problem? Scott |

I sold one to a lady before, in rose gold on strap. I also sold this watch to a man, a big man. Its all personal preference. I have a customer who wears a steel Chronomat with dia bezel/dial. It looks huge, but she loves it |

So... The AD's "lying" because you disagree with him--about something you know less about? Great. ![]() |

The dealer was in Brisbane... PM me for details... I don't really want to hurt the dealership as they appear it be doing it tough...... I was just raising a point..... They are acutally very vice to me.... AND BOY - CAN I BE ANNOYING AT TIMES! |

Just exercise caution prior to saying stuff like that. I know you didn't specify a dealer, but there are certain people that attach themselves to claims such as dishonest dealers--and all that does is create an atmosphere of mistrust to all ADs when newbs come on here. Have to say the title of the thread caught my attention. If that was the point, well done. ![]() |
