I saw over on timezone that a user mentioned that the black dial with white subs transocean chrono is available again. I did see that they added some red accents to the dial now. If you look at the model on Breitling's website, I see they added the new dial to a red gold case and also a new blue dial as well.

Glad I sold my LE when I did. I felt even then Breitling were devaluing the LE with watches that were too similar.

I came across the new dial a little while ago, and was glad to see that it had been revived. It's one of the great tried and true Top Time looks.

I think Breitling issued its first TOC's as limited editions -- probably to gin up interest in the new models and to jump start sales. The bad part about doing that is that the particular dial/case combos that were issued as LE's were pretty classic, and, in my view, should have been envisioned as standard models of the TOC line.

I can understand how someone who bought a particular model because of its LE status would feel a bit like they'd been had. The biggest impact, I think, is simply in losing the feeling that one owns an exclusive model -- I seriously doubt that, except in perhaps a few limited cases, the LE status results in any kind of appreciable increase in value (which is why I never factor that kind of thinking into my purchase decisions).

I will say that the red accents on the new dial are interesting -- although, I think the pure look of the LE is fantastic.

I saw this "new" version in the London Boutique at the weekend, and it's superb....but then that's not surprising considering the original LE is by far and away the best variant of the TOC IMHO. While it might be a bit irritating for owners of the original LE, I'm personally really pleased it's available again, albeit with a couple of red accents. But to be honest most Breitling LEs aren't really all that limited anyway, so I don't think it'll affect prices too much in terms of devaluation. If the original had been an LE of 50 or so then maybe, but as it is.....

They also had the red gold/blue dial version too, and that really is a thing of beauty. Expensive and not necessarily the most practical colour combo, but absolutely beautiful nonetheless.

They have the black panda dial with the red accents in the rose gold case as well. On Breitling's website, I see you can also get a newer version of the rubber strap, they're calling it the rubber aero classic.

That red accent Second Hand makes me think of the IWC 3777
