Greetings- I am about to be the owner of an Emergency Mission, black dial A73322, and am interested if anyone knows about production numbers, the date that the A73322 model came into the lineup, etc.. Anyone know any fun facts about this model? Thanks! |

Fun fact number 1 : A at the beginning of the model number means it's made out of stainless steel . Fun fact number 2 : I don't know anything else . |

The EM was produced between 2003 and 2008. I think I'm correct in saying it still has the distinction of being the heaviest model that Breitling have ever produced, and until the Emergency 2 was released it was also the thickest at just a whisker under 2cm thick. |

I watched a bunch of youtubes last night, and one guy selling one made the statement that "Breitling makes 250,000 watches a years, with fewer than 5,000 being the Emergency series. Fewer than 50,000 have ever been produced." I have no idea where he got that info, but that kind of stuff is what I am looking for, but more specific to the A73322. Also, by way of a comment read on this forum about the Emergency, I thought I would call Breitling USA with the serial number to see if it was stolen- just in case. They wouldn't tell me and said "We give no information regarding serial numbers. We have to have the watch to examine it." I thought they might have a registry-but they do not. So I called a local dealer they said the same thing- I should send it to either Connecticut or Coral Gables, FL. for service immediately when I receive for them to take a look at it. I don't think at all it is stolen, but that really doesn't make any sense at all. I explained that without authorized dealers that handle vintage Breitling models, Breitling is doing a disservice to prospective owners, and owners that are victims of crime alike- not what I expected from the brand. The dealer said Breitling has no registry like Rolex does. I went through with the sale this afternoon, and hope to have it later next week. |

The have a database, they just don't provide info out to people. If its stolen they want it sending in so they can seize it. |

My (non mission) emergency came with with a "remove before flight" type thing that says it can only be removed once the purchaser has signed the thing about setting off the beacon . Also , the warranty booklet only gets a date once sold , mine has 2 of these . |

All helpful indicators, however be aware that these things get missed, I have seen no end of watches sold by high street retailers with blank or incomplete paperwork. |
