I think im chickening out of getting a navi. world..just cant get comfortble with the 46mm size,it looks great but i think it might grab TOO much attention if theres such a thing. the 42mm size of the navi seems perfect, not small by any standards and will never give the "saucer on a wrist" look.Don't intend to offend any navi world owners, its a great watch.

the navitimer size and look is classic & contemporary, hard to beat.

silver dial with navi bracelet,beautiful.

cheers

I have to agree with you, the World does feel a bit big and seems a bit awkward on medium sized hands, The Navitimer and Datora are great

Agreed that if you are looking for something that is both classic and contemporary, you'll do better with the original sizes. The World looks more modern in its large case... or should I say post-modern :?

Kaje,

That thing with the size only happens in the store when you try it on for a few minutes. I felt the same way about the Bentleys so I started with a Bentley GT. I went back and got the full size Bentley and it only takes a few hours to get used to the big watches. Once you get it home and wear it for a few hours you get used to it. If you get the small Navi you will look at the world later and wish you got it. Also the lug width on the World is 24 MM making it a Full Ling. When in doubt always choose the FULL LING !

As a World owner I find myself agreeing with Ling Man on this one. And besides, the World is not THAT big.

It does depend to a certain extent on your wrist size though I guess. Mine are somewhere between 7.25" and 7.5" so the World looks fine on me. In fact I tried an original Navi at the same time and while I still loved it, it looked a bit weedy on my wrist after wearing the World. Try 'em and see. :)

Kaje,

Anyone that has graduated to the FULL LING will tell you the same thing. When you have been wearing 39 or 40 MM watches for a long time these new big Lings just seem too large at first and especially when you just try them on in the store for a few minutes. It only takes a few hours of wearing them and you get over that. Then everybody agrees that the old smaller ones look too small. I have a 2 tone Chronomat that is beautiful, it's got a gold bezel, gold Arabic numerals with a dark blue dial, a 2 tone bracelet and the features of the watch are great but now it just looks way too small at 39 MM after wearing the Bentley. I went through this when I had the Bentley GT. After going back to the store and trying on the Bentley Motors the GT became too small. Don't make the mistake of getting the smaller one and then wishing you got the World GO WITH THE FULL LING !

I have to agree with Ling Man on this one... My dad used to always wear 36mm... then after getting used to a 42mm watch... put on a Chronomat Evolution at 44mm again, the first time he put it on it was too big... now he wants one! :guns:

Kaje,

Go get the Navitimer World, wear it for a week, then go back to the dealer and try on a regular 42 MM Navitimer. I GUARANTEE that you will feel like you really dodged the bullet and you will be RELIEVED that you didn't wimp out and get the Half Ling. Remember, when in doubt ALWAYS go with the FULL LING ! Lings are like money you can't have too much !

+10

He's right. I would be kicking myself in the arse had I bought the Navitimer. The Navi-World is much easier to read than the Navitimer. The extra 4.2mm makes a huge difference with the looks, not to mention it's very comfortable to wear!
