Greetings all finally got my seawolf 2 and I have a winding question for you experts. When I wind the watch I turn it clockwise and I find after every full turning hear a distinct click, is this normal? When I wind I will have my thumb and index finger overlap each other and then my thumb moves up while my index finger goes down, when I do this twice I consider this a full wind and on a complete wind I hear a click. Now I can also wind by doing the motion once and then I reverse wind the crown on way down and once my thumb and index overlap repeat going up...when I wind this way I don't hear a click on the second repeat wind.

So am I winding correctly or is there something wrong with my movement?

Cheers

Well you're way over thinking it.

A full wind is 40 turns, but you can't overwind an automatic so give it 4000 if you wish. Clicking is perfectly normal and could be the click (no really, that's what it called) that prevents the gears that transfer the crown movement to the mainspring from being wound backwards by that mainspring and / or it could be the mainspring slipping in the mainspring barrel (which it is designed to do to prevent overwinding).

Thanks for the quick reply Rolf but I get that click sound when I first wind the watch after it has come to a stop after several days of non use...
